Kuuma's Thermostatic Mixing Valve for Marine Water Heaters allows hot water to last longer. It delivers hot water at a reduced temperature by mixing in cold water to your water heater's outlet line. The mixing valve installs on the hot water outlet side of the water heater (additional plumbing will be required). Compatible with most water heaters, the mixing valve has an outlet temperature range of 85-degrees Fahrenheit to 130-degrees Fahrenheit; however, it is factory set to deliver up to 120-degrees Fahrenheit. To adjust between 120-degrees Fahrenheit and 130-degrees Fahrenheit, the cap will need to be removed and the limit stop adjusted (refer to the instructions). The temperature can be adjusted by turning the featured knob either clockwise (to reduce the temperature) or counterclockwise (to increase the temperature). The mixing valve is constructed of durable brass and includes a threaded female ½-inch NPT kit.
Know your NPT (National Pipe Thread) Sizes
Male NPT is denoted commonly as either MPT or MNPT
Female NPT is either FPT of FNPT
Pipe thread sizes do not refer to any physical dimension. Reference measurements to the table below, or try mating with a known pipe size before ordering.
NPT Size
Thread Diameter OD of MPT (ID of FPT will be slightly less than this.)
